Satisfactory Plus - Unable to Unlock Power Slugs

Hi there. Can anyone help me with an issue I am having with Satisfactory plus. I have just unlocked phases 5 and 6, and oil production. I have picked up a blue slug in the world with the blue slug DNA in my inventory, but nothing happens. No line of sight to unlocking the "strange energy readings" in the mam, no ability to build blue slug eggs. Can anyone advise, appreciate in advance!
Solution
I believe the unlock for the tree is finding dirt (yes, it's kinda weird that it's dirt) you can more help for SF+ on the Kmods discord
