If you’re running the gateway in Docker, you generally don’t run

openclaw ...

openclaw ...

on the host — you run the CLI inside a container.

If you used the official Docker Compose setup (recommended)

There’s a dedicated CLI service for exactly this:

# from the repo root (same place as docker-compose.yml)
docker compose run --rm openclaw-cli --version
docker compose run --rm openclaw-cli status
docker compose run --rm openclaw-cli dashboard --no-open
docker compose run --rm openclaw-cli devices list
