Multi-agent communication: How to make two OpenClaw bots talk to each other in real-time?
Hey! I'm running two OpenClaw agents on separate machines (Mac Studio + iMac) that need to communicate with each other — especially for daily standups and coordination meetings.
Current setup:
• Agent A (Mac Studio) + Agent B (iMac), both on Telegram
• They exchange messages via a Convex database (custom agentMessages table)
• A listener on a third machine polls Convex every 5s and wakes agents via SSH + openclaw system event
The problem:
• When Agent A is in an active Telegram conversation with a user, system events from Agent B are queued and ignored until the conversation ends
• This makes real-time meetings between the two agents impossible — messages take minutes instead of seconds
• The user has to manually notify each agent ("msg from Luna", "msg from Koda")
What I've tried:
• openclaw system event --mode now via SSH → works but doesn't interrupt active sessions
• Convex listener with temp scripts + heredoc (v3.2, v3.3) → escaping issues fixed but still can't interrupt
What I'm considering:
• Setting up a Discord server where both bots are in a #meetings channel — would OpenClaw handle messages from another bot in the same channel?
• Is there a built-in way to do inter-agent communication in OpenClaw?
• Any plans for multi-agent session support?
