Password starting with '%' breaks login in Studio

Using typedb-studio (3.8.1) locally installed app, could not connect with a localhost CE 3.8.0 server:
When the password starts with "%", the moment it is typed the "Error: URI malformed" pops up. Once this happens, a app restart is required to get back to a state where it can be attempted again.
The error message is of course misleading, because one thinks the address part is the issue, which it was not.
This issue probably applies to the web hosted version as well.
Reproduce the issue:
- Simply typing a sing percentage character in the password field with all other fields left blank, will trigger this behavior. One would also assume any special characters are allowed. Quick test with other special characters did not seem to trigger it, only "%".
- After changing password using console to exclude any special characters, connection could be made via studio.
