Can’t spawn sub‑agents – “gateway closed (1008): pairing required”
I’m trying to use sessions_spawn from my main agent on a local OpenClaw gateway and always get:
gateway closed (1008): pairing required
Gateway target: ws://127.0.0.1:18789
Source: local loopback
Config: (local openclaw.json)
Even a trivial test task fails with this.
I want to:
• Allow local sub‑agents for my main agent (for parallel work on multiple projects),
• Without weakening security or exposing anything externally.
Questions:
1. Which openclaw.json settings control this “pairing required” behaviour for sub‑agents?
2. What’s the recommended way to enable local sub‑agents for the main agent?
3. Is there a documented pairing/approval flow I should follow to unblock this?
