I am experiencing persistent client-side browser automation failure in my WSL2 environment after updating OpenClaw to v2026.2.21-2. The Gateway service is running (RPC probe: ok), but browser operations are failing.
Key Status (openclaw status --deep highlights):
OpenClaw Version: 2026.2.21-2
Gateway: RPC probe: ok
Critical Warnings: groupPolicy="open" for Discord/elevated tools, Discord security warning.
Troubleshooting Summary:
Browser Extension: Despite paired.json reset, gateway restart, onboard attempts, and manual token input in Control UI (successful in Brave incognito), default_api.browser consistently reports "Chrome extension relay is running, but no tab is connected."
Playwright: Installed in venv with libnspr4.so & libnss3.so.
Headless mode: Fails on login-gated content (Gemini share URL).
Headed mode (non-headless): Fails with "Missing X server or $DISPLAY" (WSL2 environment limitation).
Problem: We urgently need reliable browser automation for dynamic, login-gated web content, but all methods are blocked by authentication issues or WSL2's lack of a graphical server.
