Trying to Update Raspberry Pi 5 to OpenClaw (2026.2.21)

Trying to update to OpenClaw on a Raspberry Pi 5 8GB. Current solution is to Downgrade to OpenClaw 2026.2.19-2 (which uses an earlier @discordjs/opus that compiles fine on Pi)
What happens: The Opus library's ARM NEON intrinsics file references celt_inner_prod_neon() which isn't declared in the headers for this architecture. The build fails when node-pre-gyp falls back to compiling from source (no prebuilt binary for node-v127-napi-v3-linux-arm64-glibc-2.41).

Solution
This is a known ARM64 NEON intrinsics bug in
@discordjs/opus bundled with 2.21 — the prebuilt
binary doesn't exist for your exact platform
(node-v127-napi-v3-linux-arm64-glibc-2.41) and
the source compile fails on Pi 5.
Your current workaround (staying on 2026.2.19-2)
is actually the right call until this gets fixed.
Worth filing or upvoting on GitHub so the team
knows Pi 5 is affected:
github.com/openclaw/openclaw/issues
In the meantime, if you need 2.21 features
specifically, one workaround is to install
system libopus and force the build to use it:
sudo apt-get install libopus-dev
npm install -g openclaw --build-from-source \
--shared-opus
That tells node-pre-gyp to use the system Opus
instead of compiling the bundled one.
No guarantee it works but worth trying before
staying pinned to 2.19.
