Moving from Clawdbot to Openclaw
Hi β I had a fully working Clawdbot install on my Intel Mac (macOS Sonoma) which I wiped today and reinstalled fresh. The gateway runs fine (RPC probe ok, Homebrew Node 25.6.1), config looks correct, bot token is valid (verified via getMe API), but Telegram never initializes at gateway startup β zero Telegram-related log entries across every restart.
Key observations:
- openclaw channels status shows no channels loaded
- grep -i telegram ~/.openclaw/logs/gateway.log returns nothing after startup
- During initial onboarding the wizard said "telegram plugin not available"
- No errors thrown β just complete silence from the Telegram subsystem
- The bot token works (curl to api.telegram.org/getMe returns ok)
- Config has channels.telegram.enabled: true with correct botToken
This exact setup worked on the same machine before the wipe. What changed, and how do I get Telegram polling to actually start?
