Actualización del diagnóstico — problema CLI ↔ Gateway (device token mismatch)
Plataforma: OpenClaw 2026.2.19-2 | Ubuntu 24.04 | Node.js 22.22.0 | Gateway corriendo como root
Contexto
El problema original (Discord conecta pero no responde) quedó bloqueado porque no podemos autenticar el CLI contra el Gateway. Todos los comandos de diagnóstico fallan antes de llegar a Discord.
Secuencia de comandos ejecutados
1) Confirmar usuario del proceso:
ps aux | grep -i openclaw
→ root 605045 openclaw-gateway (corre como root)
2) Verificar config del Gateway:
cat /root/.openclaw/openclaw.json | grep -A 10 "gateway"
→ "gateway": {
"port": 18789,
"mode": "local",
"bind": "loopback",
"auth": { "mode": "token" }
}
3) Intentar obtener token desde config:
openclaw config get gateway.auth.token
→ Config path not found: gateway.auth.token
4) Revisar carpeta devices:
ls -la /root/.openclaw/devices/
→ paired.json (955 bytes)
→ pending.json (2 bytes)
5) Extraer token de paired.json y exportar (token redactado):
export OPENCLAW_GATEWAY_TOKEN=$(cat paired.json | python3 ...)
echo $OPENCLAW_GATEWAY_TOKEN | head -c 10
→ PQV9mWMLzi... ← token cargó correctamente
openclaw channels status --probe
→ Error: unauthorized: device token mismatch (rotate/reissue device token)
El token en paired.json tiene rotatedAtMs — está desactualizado.
6) Intentar re-parear desde cero:
openclaw gateway stop
rm /root/.openclaw/devices/paired.json
echo "{}" > /root/.openclaw/devices/pending.json
openclaw gateway start
openclaw channels status --probe
→ Error: unauthorized: device token mismatch ← sigue igual
7) Intentar deshabilitar auth (no ejecutado aún):
openclaw config set gateway.auth.mode none
→ pendiente de ejecutar
Estado actual
El CLI nunca logra autenticarse contra el Gateway. El error alterna entre:
gateway token missing — cuando no hay token exportado
device token mismatch — cuando se usa el token de paired.json
Borrar paired.json y reiniciar el Gateway no regenera un token válido para el CLI.
