PhotosHi, I’m new to Ubuntu and Ente. I’m trying to self-host Ente on my Ubuntu Server but facing issues due to various factors.
I want my Ubuntu Server to host the Ente webpage and store photos and videos on a dedicated 8TB RAID1 drive. I’ll use phones and laptops for uploading.
I can’t paste my code here, but I changed a volume path to my RAID for Minio and metadata. I can access the web.ente page, log in, get verification codes, whitelist users, and create albums, but I can’t upload photos.
I can access the web.ente page from another computer (Windows machine). I can whitelist and get the verification code. But not upload.
I tried fixing the CORS issue on Ente’s website and installed AWS software, but I couldn’t run a suggested command from the Ente documentation. I suspect the issue isn’t CORS. I also think I don’t need AWS software or the pre-programmed buckets. I tried downloading Minio software and creating my own bucket, but it didn’t work. I’m unfamiliar with buckets and their purpose.
My server has a static IP outside the DHCP range. I’m encountering port forwarding issues. My router behaves strangely when I set port forwarding rules for devices outside the DHCP. It makes it difficult to do so. I think I need to set up port forwarding for incoming traffic, but I’m not an expert in networking.
I have caddy installed and set up according to the Ente documentation, but I can’t access the HTTPS websites. I have a domain name and the A records set up.
