Problems with updates

When I update my default agent model changes and my browser relay stops running.

Solution

1) Get the base gateway token (locally)

A) If it exists in systemd env: use that value (from the command above) as the base token.

B) If it’s not in env: the easiest way to retrieve the real config token (locally) is:

openclaw dashboard --no-open

openclaw dashboard --no-open

This prints a URL containing

#token=...

#token=...

(don’t paste it into Discord).

2) Compute the relay token for port 18792

Set

GATEWAY_TOKEN

GATEWAY_TOKEN

to the base token you found (from env or from the dashboard URL), then:

PORT=18792 GATEWAY_TOKEN="PASTE_BASE_GATEWAY_TOKEN_HERE" \
node -e 'const crypto=require("crypto"); console.log(crypto.createHmac("sha256", process.env.GATEWAY_TOKEN).update(`openclaw-extension-relay-v1:${process.env.PORT}`).digest("hex"))'

PORT=18792 GATEWAY_TOKEN="PASTE_BASE_GATEWAY_TOKEN_HERE" \
