I have a 2020 Intel iMac running macOS 26.2, with decent specs (e.g. 8-32GB RAM, i5/i7/i9, SSD).
I want to run OpenClaw completely for free (no paid API credits if possible, or minimal free-tier usage), self-hosted locally on this iMac as my always-on personal AI assistant.
Goals:
Maximum performance & responsiveness
Best stability (no crashes, low idle CPU/RAM usage so the iMac stays usable for normal tasks)
Smooth Discord bot experience (DMs + maybe channels/voice if possible)
Keep everything 100% free / open-source where feasible
