Gateway connection error
Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble connecting to the gateway on my new setup. Everything was working fine an hour ago, but after some configuration changes, I’m stuck with the "Could not connect to the server" error (port 18789).
My Setup:
Device: Mac mini (2024) - Apple M4
OS: macOS Tahoe (Version 26.1)
OpenClaw Version: 2026.2.25
What I’ve already tried:
Verified Local Network permissions are ON.
Cleaned ~/.openclaw and Library/Application Support/OpenClaw folders.
Ran defaults delete OpenClaw to reset preferences.
Checked with lsof and killall node, but no process seems to be holding the port.
Tried xattr -cr on the .app but still getting the orange "Connecting..." status.
The issue: When I try to find the gateway binary inside the app bundle with find /Applications/OpenClaw.app -name "gateway", it returns nothing. It seems like the gateway component might be failing to initialize or is being blocked/deleted by macOS Tahoe's new security layers.
Has anyone encountered this on M4/Tahoe yet? Any specific permissions or manual gateway launch commands I should try?
