Discord: delivery-mirror sends duplicate messages to channel
What happens:
When using or tags in Discord,
OpenClaw sends TWO messages instead of one:
1. First message with reply tag (from model)
2. Second message without reply tag (from delivery-mirror, 1 second later)
Expected:
Reply tag should be processed and only ONE message sent to the channel.
Actual:
Two identical messages appear in Discord - creating spam.
Evidence from session log:
- 22:17:07 → Message #1: model "GLM-5-FP8", provider "modal-zai"
- 22:17:08 → Message #2: model "delivery-mirror", provider "openclaw"
The delivery-mirror feature appears to write to session history AND
re-send the message to the channel, when it should only write to history.
Config:
Discord channel configured with replyToMode: "off" (default)
Using in agent responses.
Environment:
- OpenClaw version: v2026.2.23 (latest)
- Channel: Discord Bot API
- Node: v22.22.0
- OS: Ubuntu Linux
Workaround:
Don't use [[replyto*]] tags → but this disables reply threading.
Question:
Is there a config option to disable delivery-mirror re-sending to channels?
Or is this a bug in the delivery-mirror logic?
