2026.2.26 discord
Upgrading to 2026.2.26 breaks bundled plugins (Discord, etc.)
When upgrading from 2026.2.23 → 2026.2.26, the gateway fails to start with validation errors for all bundled plugins:
- plugins: plugin: unsafe plugin manifest path:
/home/jc/.bun/install/global/node_modules/openclaw/extensions/discord/openclaw.plugin.json (validation)
Same error for all ~40 bundled extensions (discord, telegram, slack, matrix, etc.).
Environment:
Ubuntu 24.04
Installed via: bun add -g openclaw@2026.2.26
Previous working version: 2026.2.23
What I tried:
openclaw doctor --fix - didn't resolve
Permissions look correct (drwxr-xr-x, owned by my user)
No symlinks in the plugin directories
Workaround: Rolled back to 2026.2.23 and everything works again.
Is this a known issue with the new plugin validation in 2026.2.26? Is there a migration step needed?
