Enable communication in Telegram Group

I can't get my Openclaw agent

to respond in a Telegram Group. Can you help me diagnose? I confirmed that I can talk to the agent in the TUI.

Solution

2) Telegram privacy mode: if the bot isn’t admin and privacy mode is on, it may not even receive non-mention messages. If you expect it to respond without mentions, disable privacy via BotFather (

/setprivacy

/setprivacy

) or make the bot admin, then remove+re-add it to the group.

If it still doesn’t respond: paste the log lines

, send one message in the group, and paste the lines around it. I’m specifically looking for whether it says:
- group blocked (group id mismatch), vs
- sender not allowed (groupPolicy allowlist), vs
- message never arrives (privacy mode / wrong bot in group)
