Bug: `openclaw gateway restart` hangs indefinitely in agent session
Running OpenClaw on Ubuntu 24.04 VPS. The command
Environment:
- OS: Ubuntu 24.04 (VPS)
- OpenClaw: v2026.2.25
- Channel: Telegram
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have an active agent session via Telegram
2. From within the agent, call: openclaw gateway restart
3. Command hangs indefinitely — no output, no timeout, no error
Root cause (suspected):
When the gateway restarts it drops the current WebSocket connection. The CLI then waits for a confirmation that never arrives because the connection is already dead.
Workaround: launching restart as a background process avoids the hang.
Expected behavior: the command should timeout gracefully or use fire-and-forget so it does not block on the same connection being restarted.
