ImmersiveMC works on 1.21.5 but has issues on 1.21.1

I’m trying to play with my friends on 1.21.1 and they play pcvr while I’m standalone. When the game tells me that I need to install vivecraft 1.3.3 or later, I remove the vivecraft file and install the recomendad file instead. My game ends up working afterwards, but minecraft doesn’t load and I’m stuck in the questcraft menu. What can I do to prevent this from happening?
