gateway connect failed: Error: unauthorized: gateway token mismatch (provide gateway auth token)

Received after trying to install Mission Control

Solution

openclaw gateway install --force

openclaw gateway install --force

(That exact fix is in the FAQ too.)

Make sure you’re actually connecting to the right host/port, and if needed tunnel:

ssh -N -L 18789:127.0.0.1:18789 user@host

ssh -N -L 18789:127.0.0.1:18789 user@host

then open

http://127.0.0.1:18789/

http://127.0.0.1:18789/

openclaw --version

openclaw --version

openclaw gateway status

openclaw gateway status
