Hi, yesterday I updated OpenClaw on my Ubuntu 24.04 notebook from 2026.2.23 to 2026.2.26, and I keep getting the following issues when trying to (re)start the gateway:
Restarted systemd service: openclaw-gateway.service
Timed out after 60s waiting for gateway port 18789 to become healthy.
Service runtime: status=stopped, state=activating, lastExit=1
Gateway port 18789 status: free.
Gateway restart timed out after 60s waiting for health checks.
My gateway is configured for loopback access on the default port, and it uses a token for auth stored in the ~/.openclaw/.env file.
All I keep getting in the journal logs is:
Gateway failed to start: failed to acquire gateway lock at /tmp/openclaw-1000/gateway.509698c8.lock
