Installing Questcraft without hooking up to a PC

My friend doesn't have a usbc port on his computer and is trying to install questcraft through sidequest. There are guides saying you can install sidequest without hooking to a PC, but other guides are saying it's been patched out. Does anyone know if there is a way of installing sidequest directly on the quest without using a PC, or a way to install questcraft directly without using sidequest/hooking to a PC?
