Recurring « ⚠️ All models failed before reply »
Hey team, I'm reaching out because I've been experiencing a recurring issue with my OpenClaw setup and I'm not sure what's causing it.
The error I keep getting:
Agent failed before reply: All models failed
This error can appear on almost all of my agents, not just one specific one. On top of that, it sometimes shows up even when I check my Claude usage and I haven't hit any limit — so it doesn't seem to be a quota issue either.
One thing I noticed: my sub-agent (running Kimi) tends to work fine, while others fail. I even tried applying the same model to other agents and the error still appears, so I don't think it's model-related.
My theory on what caused it:
At some point early on, I connected my VPS to an AI-powered IDE. Whenever an error occurred, it would automatically access my VPS terminal and attempt to fix things. I suspect it may have broken something or modified some config files along the way — but I'm not a developer so I can't tell exactly what might have changed.
My questions:
1. Is there a way to diagnose and fix this issue without resetting everything?
2. Would it make sense to migrate to a fresh VPS at this point?
3. If I do switch VPS, what's the best way to migrate my agents and their data?
