help getting memory search to work without an openai api key

i'm trying to get my openclaw memory search to work. it keeps asking for openai endpoint to enable the memory. i tried updating to use openrouter but then get an error message that the openrouter setting doesn't work. help me understand how to get memory search in openclaw to work without an openai api key
