DNG raw files not showing up in thumbnail or main viewer

I have noticed this issue often on immich across all devices... I'm wondering if it's just not a supported format yet? I'd rather not have my photos all looking like this once they're backed up to the server. If you download them from immich you can tell what they are and they turn out great, so it's not a matter of file corruption. It's simply display and format visibility I believe.

Any help or roadmap on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
