will not upgrade

so i am at an issue. i am on 2026.2.26 rn. i don't know how to upgrade since it does not have a pm detected NOR does it have a git install so idk

That error usually means your current

openclaw

openclaw

binary isn’t in a git checkout and the CLI can’t see a global npm/pnpm install to upgrade in-place.

The supported “works no matter what” upgrade path is: re-run the website installer (it upgrades in place):

macOS / Linux

curl -fsSL https://openclaw.ai/install.sh | bash -s -- --no-onboard

Want beta instead of stable:
