OpenClaw workspace became messy
My OpenClaw setup has grown into a mess and it’s slowing me down.
What I have now:
~11 skills (some experimental, some half-working)
Multiple projects (ex: Mission Control, Pilot)
Lots of prompts and iterations across sessions
I’m seeing frequent freezes/timeouts and “weird behavior” during runs, and I can’t tell if it’s my code, skill design, or just a polluted workspace.
What I want:
A clean, best-practice structure for organizing OpenClaw:
how many skills should live in one workspace?
how to separate “stable skills” vs “experiments”
recommended folder layout / naming
versioning strategy for skills
A cleanup plan that does NOT destroy everything:
how to archive/disable skills cleanly
how to reset sessions/caches safely
what to delete (or not delete) inside ~/.openclaw and workspace
how to confirm I’m back to a “known good” baseline
A recommended workflow going forward:
one workspace per project vs monorepo workspace?
how to keep skills reusable across projects without copy-paste chaos
how to avoid “skill rot” and keep builds/tests reliable
