Openclaw not joining VC on discord
OpenClaw is failing to establish a stable Discord Voice (RTC) connection. The bot joins the channel but remains "stalled" (no green circle/audio) until the session is destroyed by a timeout.
Diagnostic Data (from openclaw.log)
Root Error: [EventQueue] Slow listener detected: DiscordVoiceReadyListener took 15230ms for event READY.
Handshake Failure: Persistent ~15s timeout during the READY event indicates the bot is not receiving the UDP READY opcode back from the Discord Voice Server.
Socket Error: Error: Cannot destroy VoiceConnection - it has already been destroyed (triggered by the cleanup process after the handshake fails to lock).
Steps Taken to Resolve
Firewall Alignment (OS Level): Verified ufw is disabled and iptables rules are clear. No host-level blocking detected.
Firewall Alignment (Perimeter): Attempted to open UDP Egress (Outbound) ports 50000-65535 to allow the RTC handshake to exit the network.
Gateway Configuration Patches:
Set daveEncryption: false in openclaw.json to fallback to standard encryption (resiliency test).
Set maxConcurrentCalls: 5 and enabled autoJoin for persistence.
Service Re-initialization: Executed multiple gateway restarts (SIGUSR1) to force clean RTC handshake retries.
Voice Region Rotation: Manually rotated the Discord Voice Channel region (e.g., US West -> US East) to force a different routing path and UDP endpoint set.
