heartbeat trigger and memory issues

does the hearbeat trigger by default out of the box? if so, when does it trigger? and where can you set that time (e.g. every 10 minutes)

i put stuff in the heartbeat config file in the workspace but the bot will not run it automatically ... only after i ask it to ???

also having weird issues where it forgots what i told it to do... like "dory the fish"
the workspace is updated; its just like it doesnt read anything unless i prompt it to

note: i built and isntalled it locally on rocky 9.7 by:
checking out the tag (current 2026.2.26)

Why it can look like “it’s not running”

Heartbeat runs can be intentionally invisible:
