Embedded runs keep timing out at 10 minutes
I'm running OpenClaw 2026.2.17 on WSL2 (Linux 6.6, Node 22.22.0).
My logs repeatedly show:
embedded run timeoutMs=600000
run cleanup: aborted=true timedOut=true
Even when my skill has a 12-minute hard timeout internally, the embedded runner aborts the run at 10 minutes.
This is breaking long-running pipelines (yt-dlp, ffmpeg, whisper, browser automation), which can take 15β30 minutes.
Questions:
1) How can I increase or override the embedded run timeout globally?
2) Can I configure a per-skill or per-agent timeout?
3) If this timeout is fixed by design, what is the recommended architecture for long-running tasks?
- Sub-agents?
- Queue jobs?
- Background process via coding-agent?
- Detached process outside embedded runner?

I want a deterministic offline ingest pipeline (yt-dlp + ffmpeg + whisper) that can safely run 20β30 minutes without being aborted mid-execution.
