What we changed:
Standardized runtime execution on Codex paths.
Added durable task state + delivery persistence:
task ledger (TASK_LEDGER.jsonl)
delivery outbox (TASK_NOTIFY_OUTBOX.jsonl)
Built/extended a notifier worker to:
poll bounded status endpoints (status + result)
detect terminal proof
enqueue idempotent terminal emits (emitKey = taskId:state)
retry with backoff
replay unsettled emits on restart
Fixed a state-indexing bug so only task-state records determine current state.
Fixed retry deadlock behavior:
retry eligibility now covers:
pending
failed when due
stale attempt recovery
added periodic sweep ticks so retries continue even without new events
Added structured instrumentation:
per-send exec duration, exit code, stderr snippet
error classification (gateway-unreachable vs downstream-fetch-failed vs permanent HTTP)
gateway status snapshot on failures
outbox sweep metrics (eligibleNow, nextRetryAt, etc.)
Normalized Discord target format to canonical channel target shape.
Added tests for:
due failed retry triggering next attempt
stuck attempt timeout recovery
sweep scheduling/next-retry computation
send error classification
Added operations hardening:
supervised notifier via service manager (auto-restart)
stable log paths under OpenClaw logs
increased Discord listener timeout to reduce stuck/restart sensitivity
Result:
Terminal updates are now replayable, idempotent, and non-silent.
Poll endpoint flakiness no longer causes terminal-state loss.
System reliably progresses from start/running to terminal delivery once proof is available, with durable evidence in ledger/outbox.
