auth-profiles.json keeps reverting to old Anthropic token after restart

OpenClaw gateway (v2026.3.2). Trying to change to a new anthropic oauth token (setup-token, sk-ant-oat01-*) on a mac mini (latest OS).
Problem on Mac Mini:
auth-profiles.json has profile anthropic:max-primary with Token A,
models.json has Token B in providers.anthropic.apiKey,
Gateway uses auth-profiles first, so Token A always wins,
If I delete auth-profiles.json and restart the gateway, it regenerates with Token A even though Token A doesn't exist anywhere in models.json, .env, auth.json, or openclaw.json,
Already removed all orphan agent dirs (only main remains),
Token A appears in old session JSONL files — is the gateway restoring auth credentials from session data?,
What I've tried:
Editing auth-profiles.json manually + restart → reverts,
Deleting auth-profiles.json + restart → regenerates with old token,
Removing orphan agent dirs + restart → still regenerates old token
Question: How do I force the gateway to use the models.json apiKey and stop restoring the old token from wherever it's cached? Is there a way to clear the runtime auth snapshot that persists across restarts?

If you really want models.json
/ models.providers...apiKey
to be used
You must make sure no Anthropic profile exists and no Anthropic env var exists, and prevent re-import:models.jsonmodels.providers...apiKey1) Stop the gateway
2) Move aside the legacy import file if present (don’t delete yet):
