OpenClaw + Anthropic: HTTP 401 Invalid bearer token

Problem
Cannot connect OpenClaw to Anthropic. All setup tokens return HTTP 401 authentication_error: Invalid bearer token.
Claude Code works fine (logged in, can use it normally). OpenAI Codex via OAuth also works (ok). Only Anthropic fails.
What I tried
Generated a setup token via claude setup-token, pasted it using openclaw models auth paste-token --provider anthropic --profile-id anthropic:default → 401
Generated a second, different setup token, pasted it the same way → 401
Verified auth order with openclaw models auth order get --provider anthropic --agent main → no override, default order
Tried multiple profile IDs (anthropic:default, anthropic:manual, anthropic:main) → all 401
Made sure tokens were not truncated when pasting (single line, complete)
Current state
All three Anthropic profiles (token type, no OAuth, no API key) return:
HTTP 401 authentication_error: Invalid bearer token
OpenAI Codex works fine via OAuth.
Error when agent tries to run
Agent failed before reply: All models failed (2):
- anthropic/claude-opus-4-6: HTTP 401 authentication_error: Invalid bearer token
- anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6: HTTP 401 authentication_error: Invalid bearer token

This one’s usually not “your token is wrong” so much as (a) it got silently truncated, or (b) you’re hitting the currently-tracked setup‑token regression.
Here’s the tight triage that’s been most useful:
1) Check your OpenClaw version first
