Remote Access Best Practices DXP4800+
❓Question
I wanted to ask a lot of questions that I couldn't find answers for without spamming chat. Some are just for sanity checks to ensure i'm using it as expected.
Information:
I have a domain setup with cloudflare tunnel.
-At home, on desktop, do people use the ip to open immich because when i go through the domain, uploads are 1mb and is painfully slow. Sanity check.
-On mobile, does it matter if i log in using my ip or my domain if I turn on URL switching? I assume that the app will switch between the two, how can i ensure that it always prioritized Wifi? Same issue as before, on the domain, uploads are slow.
-I didn't realize while i was doing it, but i focused so much on getting the app to work with Oauth, but it kind of seems pointless once you're logged in, correct? Oauth is nice to have in browser or when inviting people to auto create accounts, I suppose its also great for preventing unwanted access. But for mobile app, what is the benefit of it.
-I have a google authentication requirement to see my domain, and then a google authentication for immich to log in to the account. Is that...dumb? What do most people do? I was trying to restrict public from accessing the immich login screen but don't know whats best practice or if thats too paranoid. For more detail, when you visit my domain, you are directed to log into google. You log in, and then you are met with the immich login screen, which again directs you to log into google lol. I enable the fast track process to auto log in but I don't know if this setup makes any sense or is unecessary and i can just have one Oauth to log into the immich account.
-While remote, am i doing something wrong where i can't seem to add photso to albums? I know remote is working because it will upload and i can view it in browser. I can't even delete them. I think i may have set up something wrong?
