Trying to get my assistant Texo back on Telegram/Discord
Problem: Telegram/Discord channels no longer start after 2026.3.2 + config changes
Hi! I previously had OpenClaw running with both Telegram and Discord (Texo bot replying in multiple Telegram groups and Discord channels). After some changes yesterday, neither channel works anymore.
Environment
OpenClaw: 2026.3.2 (85377a2)
OS: Windows 10 (x64)
Node: 24.13.1
Agent model: openai/gpt-5.1
Tools profile: "profile": "messaging" in .openclaw\openclaw.json
Symptoms
openclaw status shows no channels at all:

But under βSessionsβ I still see old Telegram/Discord sessions (groups and channels from when it worked).
openclaw gateway run starts fine and webchat works.
Telegram bot token is set via OPENCLAW_TELEGRAM_TOKEN and is valid:
getWebhookInfo shows url: "" and pending_update_count: 16.
OpenClaw never sees these messages:
no telegram lines in openclaw logs --follow
no pairing requests
openclaw pairing list returns:
[openclaw] Failed to start CLI: Error: Channel required. Use --channel <channel> or pass it as the first argument (expected one of: )
β pairing CLI thinks there are no pairing-capable channels configured (empty βexpected one ofβ list).
What changed before this:
Switched models (from gptβ4.1βmini / gptβ5.3βcodex to gptβ5.1).
Ran openclaw doctor --fix.
Temporarily edited .openclaw\openclaw.json to add a Telegram profile (got an error on api_key), then reverted so only openai:default remains under auth.profiles.
Tried a completely new Telegram bot + token (same behaviour).

In 2026.3.2, whatβs the right way to (re)enable Telegram/Discord channels so they show up under openclaw status β Channels and start consuming updates again?
