Unable to update or install new version and restore from backup

Hi, I have spent about 30 hours on this problem.
My truenas scale server was running App Version: v1.125.6 /Version: 1.7.24 which I didnt update for about a year, now when I try and update it, it fails to run as its looking for the new data folders.
I installed a new version which is up to date , alongside my exisiting one..
I ran rsync and copied all the folders over to the new app, nothing shows obviously so i try and restore from my sql backup but it fails to restore, doesnt recognise the backup. perhaps too old?
What can I do to get the latest version, with all my pics/videos on it?
There is about 718gb of pics/videos backed up.
The Working old version no longer is updating pics from my phone, i guess android updated my app and its not supported with my old server.
Please help, this has been driving me insane for months now.
Love the software, big supporter and got lots of friends using it.
