Clarification for Field Drift feature while using supreme saturator

I was wondering if I needed to keep my monitor ON for the field drift to work, as I know that the macro detects the unique color of the Supreme Saturator to then readjust and not drift out of the field, or something along those lines. Will the macro still be able to detect the SS and readjust even with the monitor off, or will this feature not work?
