Issue with remote Ollama over LAN
Has anyone seen a Ollama timeout where raw /api/chat works but OpenClaw still times out?
Here's what I have:
OpenClaw on Mac. Trying to get local LLM via Ollama on PC via LAN.
Using OpenClaw 2026.3.2
What works:
- Mac can reach PC Ollama
- curl to /api/generate works
- curl to /api/chat works
- exact model IDs are correct
- gateway is healthy
- also reproduced with openclaw agent --local
What fails:
- openclaw agent --local --agent pc-bot --message "Reply only with OK." --json
- dashboard chat to pc-bot
Symptom:
- always returns "LLM request timed out."
- happens with qwen2.5-coder:latest and llama3:latest
- still fails after shrinking prompt/workspace/tools
- failure is very consistent around ~14–15 seconds
