im trying to get my openclaw thats running on my home server to control my remote laptop. It dint work and it said this:
I tried again, and the blocker is no longer connectivity — it’s a node command compatibility issue.
What’s true right now:
• your Mac node is connected
• it advertises system.run
• but:
• nodes run fails on system.run.prepare
• direct nodes invoke --command system.run is rejecting the payload format from this gateway build
So the situation looks like:
• the gateway CLI and the macOS node app are not agreeing on the exact system.run request shape
In other words: close, but not working yet.
What I can say confidently:
• this is not because Spotify permissions are missing
• and not because the laptop is offline
• it’s an OpenClaw node exec/API mismatch
Fastest next step:
• update the macOS OpenClaw app/node to the same/current build as the gateway, then retry

As of newer builds, the gateway calls
