Changing OpenAI model from gpt-4.1-mini to 5.4 in OpenClaw

Title: Unable to change OpenAI model to gpt-5.4 in OpenClaw
Hey everyone — I’m trying to change my agent’s model from openai/gpt-4.1-mini to openai/gpt-5.4, but it won’t let me.
What I’ve tried so far:
• Added openai/gpt-5.4 in Config → Models → Model Providers
• Saved the config and clicked Reload
• Restarted the OpenClaw dashboard
• Went to Agents → main → Overview and tried to set the Primary model
• Started a brand new session
But the dropdown for the primary model still only shows:
openai/gpt-4.1-mini
and the agent keeps reporting that it’s running gpt-4.1-mini.
So it seems like OpenClaw isn’t recognizing the new model even after adding it to the config.
Has anyone run into this before?
• Is there another place where models need to be registered for them to appear in the agent dropdown?
• Does OpenClaw only allow models that exist in the provider catalog?
• Could the provider configuration be overriding the agent model setting?
