i18n plugin compatibility

We're using better auth 1.3.31. Does the i18n plugin actually work in this version? I'm getting this bug when trying to implement it in our application following the docs. It seems there is a compatibility issue.
I also received an "unmet peer" alert between better-auth@1.5.4 and @better-auth/core@1.5.4 and 1.3.31 when installing the plugin.
