Use external storage for media only and internal storage for thumbs, etc.

Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to set everything on immich to run within the main storage (ssd) but the media files (photos & videos) to stay in a external storage (HDD) for obvious reasons.
I know I can set the upload location but that seems to put everything together. Also I can set the thumb location, but not the remaining metadata. I'd like everything but the media to stay together.
