It’s been almost a full week since our first Tournament of Destruction (ToD) wrapped up.

After 28 teams clashed, two of them made it all the way to the Grand Finals. Massive congratulations again to @ToD winner (THANOSISCOMING) and @ToD Runner-Up (KeK) for reaching the end, and huge thanks to every player who took part in the tournament!
We hope to see all of you again in the next big one after the Squadra Blast.

Aight, guys. Time to make a pronouncement regarding today. @Discord Updates

Today we had the first day of our very first Tournament of Destruction on Start.gg, and things didn’t go as planned. I want to clarify what happened and apologize to everyone who had to deal with the unexpected issues and mistakes on my side.

From platform problems to me overlooking the daylight-saving time change, I take full responsibility for the turbulence we faced today. I also couldn’t focus entirely on the stream setup, and because of that I accidentally selected the wrong codec, which caused some lag that some of you might have noticed. Fortunately, the local recording was set correctly, so I’ll upload the clean version after the tournament along with the finals. (Twitch/YouTube VODs will still be available, but the recording quality is higher.)
I want to be transparent, organizing today became harder due to missing my third monitor, not being able to finish earlier meetings on time, not giving clear enough instructions on how to use the platform’s built-in chat and win-report system to the participants, and so many mistakes and unexpected things. Extending the sign-up deadline was also a misstep on my end; in trying to accommodate everyone, I ended up making the process more confusing. None of this was intentional, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

I understand some people are frustrated, but sending death threats helps absolutely no one, so let’s please stay respectful.

We hope you’ll join us tomorrow for the Top 8 finals. Both @Dusty and I are looking forward to seeing how the tournament concludes. The team captains have already been called into a separate channel so we can plan tomorrow properly.

Alright, the randomly formed teams for this Sunday’s 4fun tournament are set!

Everyone has been added to new private team channels. Head to your channel and start coordinating with your new squad.

A few tasks for all teams:

Talk to each other: Get to know your teammates!
Decide your Team Captain: The team chat is currently named after the first person on the list. You’ll need to decide who’ll be the official captain (the main person who communicates with the tournament staff).
Choose a Team Name: You don’t have to stick with “Team Alpha/Bravo.” Come up with something cool, and let me or an Event Staff/Admin know so we can update the bracket.

## A special announcement for @Lunarz & @REx:
You’ll notice you’re currently a team of two. Two players who were supposed to join your team dropped out of the tournament. That means you’re now a team in need of two more players. Please head over to the looking-for-group (LFG) channels to find new teammates and complete your squadra.

The tournament will now take place in a single bracket on Sunday at 3 PM (EST), and the solo players’ team assignments will be revealed later today (as long as nothing unexpected happens on my end).

Also, not related to this tournament, but I’ve been getting lots of DMs asking about promoting personal events and tournaments.
So, I’ve created #player-events where you can post your announcements following the Guidelines pinned there.

Keep in mind that any post involving scams or anything that breaks the game’s ToS or server rules will be removed by moderation.

The time has come! We are officially announcing our first community tournament: the First 4Fun Clash!

This is a casual 4v4 tournament open for everyone to celebrate the launch of Custom Battles. Whether you're a pre-made squad or a solo player, everyone is welcome to compete. If you'd rather build your own team from scratch, check out the looking-for-group (lfg) channels too!

Key Info:

Format: 4v4 Best of 3, Single Elimination.
Bans: No character bans, but the Golden Cell Jr. Divine Draw is banned.

And a final word: consider this your training arc. Use this tournament to sharpen your skills and test your team's chemistry, because this is just a warm-up. The main event is coming sooner than you think, and you'll want to be ready for it.
