The 2012 April Fools Incident - A Roblox History Lesson by Joshua - Roblox Forum
Before we start, I'll introduce you to 3 people: Isaac, Caleb and Ellernate. These three people will be very important later in the story. It all started with the Roblox user "Ellernate". You see, back then, Roblox had "test sites". You could buy anything you wanted, make accounts that wouldn't exist on the normal website, and so on. There was one key factor though; Not every Administrator's account was registered on the test site. So, basically what happened is that Ellernate registered an Admin's account (we don't know which admin it was) on the testing website, took the Login Token (.ROBLOSECURITY) and entered that token into the normal website via inspect element. And just like that, he was logged into an Administrator's account with FULL ACCESS to their account. Now, I'm guessing most of us already know what happened. To sum it up, the 3 people I mentioned before used this method and started messing with the site. Examples of this would be; changing the banner to say whatever they wanted to (example: NO TOMATO IS ALWAYS BEST SILLY ORANGE), releasing unreleased items to the Roblox site (Hooded Space Lord, Gold Spartan, Cyclops Eye), making their own items (Derp Face), changing the names of items (Domino Crown -> ChezCrown Mc Dominoez) and even unbanning old Roblox players (Pheedy, Minish, are17, Chro)! Now, time to get specific. Caleb244 was responsible for making Staff members post inappropriate things. Example: ReeseMcBlox - "i like (d word) in my mouth and ears at the same time" Ellernate was responsible for well.. starting the whole hacking. He didn't actually do a lot though, he simply posted some funny messages as the banner and gave himself Robux. Isaac. You see, Isaac has done the most damage to the site. Also known as iTrapped, he's completely ruined the Roblox economy. He gave people Millions of robux, and even got some people terminated by doing this (1dev2 aka. the original creator of...
