Datapack recipe for item duplication

I'm trying to add a custom recipe that'll duplicate a playerhead. Playerhead + diamond in crafting table = extra playerhead. Problem is, that requires it to copy over the NBT data so the playerhead is the same. Is this possible within a custom recipe? Or a datapack?...

Plugin / Datapack that allows you to inject any item of choice into existing loot tables?

i was hoping i could sneak in mending in a few loot tables of structures ,like the strongholds, fortresses, ancient city etc. i don't want to individually go through each loot table and add it in there with a datapack of sorts, there has to be a more effeciant and streamlined way to do this right?...

Why is there no server software making use of the JNI/FFI?

When it comes to server software, 99% is based on the vanilla minecraft server. There are efforts to rewrite it completely (feather_rs, valence, ...), but not a single one achieved feature parity with the vanilla version. In Java, there is something called the JNI which allows the JVM to call natively compiled code (written in some other programming language e.g. C, C++, Rust, Zig, ...) and therefore could offer huge performance advantages over the existing java code. Isn't that an opportunity to rewrite very specific, computing intense functions with the use of JNI/FFI and achieve a much more performant server software? I'm not at all familiar with JNI or FFI and I'm sure there is a simple answer to this (No speed advantage? Cross-Platform compability? Too complex?)....

Should I switch hosting services?

So rn I have a premium 4gb server with ggservers and I'm playing on forge 1.20.1 with about 10 mods. My main issue is when I'm exploring new areas the chunks generate very slowly. Also at least once every 15 minutes the server says cant keep up overloaded ~2000ms

creating a Minecraft server but whenever I try to start it, it stops at "preparing spawn area: 0%"

so recently I built a home server from part I had laying around, I installed Openjdk 21 headless and installed the Minecraft java server from the Minecraft website, I dedicated 4G to the server but it always stops at )% for the spawn area, I also installed screen, if anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
