Enchanted items being slightly translucent

I've noticed that whenever I go into 3rd person, any enchanted item I hold is see-through. Can someone help me fix it so any enchanted item I hold can be solid?

essential mod compatibility

me and a friend are playing together using essential, we wanted to try distant horizons together, essential is a mod that allows for friends to join single player worlds, just like bedrock does, my distant horizons looks perfect, i have no issues, my friends distant horizons tho [regardless of the world] looks like this.. when she is join in my single player world

Weird Effect with Bliss Fog

As you can maybe see on the house in the picture, some objects in front of the fog get this fuzzy outline to them. Anyone know how to fix this? Side question: does anyone know how to get those rays coming out from the sun? Mine just seems to be a fuzzy ball....

Distant Horizon Settings Don't Appear

Hello, the settings icon for Distant Horizons doesn't appear in settings. I just installed the beta version available in #dh-compatibility-faq and ran the non fabric installation that it gave in the Minecraft Launcher (I downloaded both but Fabric didn't show). I was able to open Iris settings in the shader menu though.

Aggressive shadow culling

Hi, I dont know if this is a common issue but I'm finding that shadows are being culled very aggressively. For example, if I move my mouse a little to the left, it jumps from screenshot 1 to screenshot 2. Does anyone know how to fix this?

General Support: AA Lines

I've been having a graphical issue when playing the modpack AOF7 (2.0) the issue also happened on AOF6 and on Fabulously Optimized. I hope you can see the white buggy graphical issue on the edges of blocks. I've tried to fiddle with Nvidia 3D settings Let the 3D application decide, Use the advanced 3D image settings, and Use my preference emphasizing: Quality. As well as turning off Anisotropic filtering and Anti-Aliasing as I saw it mentioned in a forum post. The problem persists. Evidence of the problem and computer specifications will be shown below. (Monitors are Asus VG27A) P.S. Turning shaders on does actually completely prevent the graphical issue. But keeping shaders on 24/7 is not a viable solution....

Trouble with Iris installer

I've been trying to figure out how to download iris so I can use shaders in Minecraft. The only problem is when downloading Iris from the site, I try to open it, but it doesn't show up on my desktop as an installer, but instead as a jar file. When I try to open Iris, it asks me to open it with an app in the Microsoft store. I don't know how to make it into an installer instead of a file. Please let me know if I am missing something, i'm on windows 11 on version 1.20.1.

geometry pool grows 4x the size without shaders

I am looking at a scene with a large jungle, with a bushy-leaves resource pack (Fluff-1.8) 1. baseline is 1.20.4, Sodium 0.5.8, resource pack, render distance 32, this is a geometry heavy scene, but it runs at the frame limiter 90fps steady the whole time, even after loading the front and back of the scene (player stationary, do a 360 to load the chunks in the back). 2. calling f3+a, the geometry pool starts at 2GB, increases to 4-5GB when turning around, the number increases in proportion to the number of chunks that have been revealed 3. same test, but with Iris 1.6.17 with the VanillAA shader active, the geometry pool starts at 4GB (performance is great, 90fps frame limiter steady), and grows (proportionally again) to 12GB (which is the amount of VRAM I have on my 6700XT), after the pool reaches 12GB, it stops growing but performance becomes very bad (like 3fps) when looking at any loaded direction that was loaded after the pool was already 10GB or so (suspected, the pool is partly in host memory, not in vram, causes performance to drop like a stone when rendering this zone) 4. question: why is the geometry pool 3x to 4x larger when using Iris with a very simple shader compared to pure sodium (possibly an Iris problem)?...

Does Iris cover snapshots?

I wanna do a video with some friends beating the game with the vote update but I'm not seeing a optifine or sodium version covering it, does Iris have April Fools snapshots or is there another solution anyone knows of?
