How to set-up a database migration workflow ?

I am having a hard time performing migrations to sync my local and staging db.
The diff tool used by supabase-cli seems not to have a reordering algorithm so I undergo tedious manual reordering !
At this point I wonder if anyone is even using supabase db tooling to manage migrations in a production set-up or if I better go for another option ?
About another option, is prisma tooling suitable for a front-end application ?
