Raspberry Pi Dropping Wifi

Was there any understanding made as to why raspberry boards might be dropping off wifi? Mine hadn't done it in a long while but has now decided to do so again...

No, but it's a common issue apparently. The mainsail crew even went so far to create "Sonar" which is basically a service that pings the gateway in an attempt to keep the wifi alive. Unfortunately it conflicts with the hotspot, so it's currently not included in 2.x. I haven't ever experienced it myself. Even having machines being idle for weeks, with no loss of connection. It's very strange.

I might look at that (I think I had seen it before in their github). I don't run an update RatOS ๐Ÿ˜‰ so no conflicts will occur here. My network is pretty good stuff (UniFi) and this seems to be the only thing that does it. I usually turn it off each night but didn't last night and voila... I did find a super long spare network cable in the loft and that might be the answer ๐Ÿ˜„ Switched to 5GHz and will see how that holds up

I use AmpliFi myself. That'll definitely work ๐Ÿ˜„
