Visible lines around holes

hi guys how can I eliminate those lines around the holes? I'm using monotonic top infill with PETG. EM and PA are correctly setted.

Those lines cannot complete disappear if the top infill cannot be completed in one pass. However, in your case the transition is more visible than I would expect. Especially on the left. It is difficult to see on the photo, is there some underextrusion where the transition happens?

Only for the top infill I set the width at 80% of the nozzle (0.4), so 0.32

This I got. I mean the visible defect. Does it look like too much or too little plastic at that spot? Difficult to see on the photo.

Ok but how can I control the flow around the holes? The monotonic infill should be sufficient for avoid that lines…

The monotonic infill cannot do magic. If your surface cannot be filled in one pass then it won't be. Check retractions and interactions in this layer in your slicer. If there are some then I think disabling them would help you to get a more uniform top surface.

I checked and no retractions in this area. need Maybe a general under extrusion that is more visibile when the flow is interrupted by the nozzle lift to skip the hole...

It also looks to me that some underextrusion makes a visible line. Try to find the reason. Try to switch on/off z lift. If the STL can be shared, you can attach it here. I would have a look at it in the slicer.

If I turned off the z lift I get visible nozzle lines even if "avoid crossing perimeters" is active... https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/1051278101306421260/1051943678136041493

Is it PETG?

yep absolutely

PETG is a tricky guy. It is quite viscous and likes to stick where it shouldn't. I guess when your nozzle moves, some filament is pulled out of it (it happens especially with z lift) and after the travel move it results in a small underextrusion.

I know and I'm starting to hate it 😅

Sorry mate, I was quite busy last days and didn't have much time for 3d printing stuff. I took a look at your model in the slicer. Please set not only the top infill but the solid infill as well to Monotonic (filled). At least in my g-code preview that fixes the issue with the filling order. The top surface beneath the text is for whatever reason not recognized as a top surface by SuperSlicer.

So here is what happens in your print. Changing the print settings as I mentioned above solves the problem in the g-code. I guess it will also solve the problem with the look.

Let us know 🙂 I hope it helps, because I had similar issues on some models.
