i've also noticed this with my xbox 1 controller. the start button is on the right bumper, the x button is the y button, the y button is select i've attempted to use xpadneo-dkms (arch based distro here) and xone-dkms. xone-dkms seems to work best for me on most games and launchers, but i get the same result with either one on heroic update, it's not working correctly on anything anymore. not sure what i did @Deleted User have you tried plugged in? that works for me

xpadneo..but i'm on batocera..they just fixed it for 36 beta but still doesn't seem to work ok..so flatpak version works---appimage still has borked mappings, so i'll just use flatpak

I'm trying to play Dead Space and Fallout New Vegas with a wired Xbox 360 Controler and i'm having the same issue with the mapping. The the Start is on the right bumper. Also the x-axis on the right joystick does nothing. Any ideas?

we don't really have any control on how games manage controllers, you can check this that maaaaybe helps https://github.com/CommandMC/EpicLinux/wiki/Potential-controller-issue-fixes but there's not much we can do from the Heroic side

we just lunch games, how wine/games communicate to detect controllers is out of what we can do

Thank you. I added the xinput libraries but missed the native step. Now, wine is complaining that it cant find xinput1_3.dll. Has anyone see that before? I started searching for wine specific errors.
