Octopus Pro 446 - RatOS Guide 'Board not detected'

Okay... I managed to flash my Octopus Pro 446 board manually using a SD card, and I have the connection ID. Trying to follow the RatOS guide from here, but it keeps saying "BIGTREETECH Octopus Pro 446 was not detected". Pressing the "Check board status" button doesn't help, and rebooting/power off/on, doesn't make any difference. I get the idea with the "setup wizard" generating the printer.cfg from all the pieces in the config folder/sub-folders. But it doesn't seem to work. Is this just because of the Alpha state, and I should just skip the wizard and set up the printer.cfg file manually?

No this means that it didn't flash correctly.

What do you mean by manually and "i have the connection ID"? You got the firmware from the configurator right? Also, did you do as per the instructions and flash it before wiring?

Yes, I flashed it without anything connected to the board, except the Pi. Because the wizard didn't work out, I compiled the firmware using SSH and added the file to a SD card. Worked out, and I can see the ID and the board data in Fluidd/Mainsail.

This doesn't work.

What does that mean?

@miklschmidt Well I chose the board from the list and pushed the "Next" button. Then the wizard told me to flash the board manually, which I did. Then it's stuck on the "board not detected" page, and I cannot continue...

No it didn't.. You were presented options to flash, those are buttons. When you click "Flash manually via SD card", you're presented with a page with a big unmistakable " Compile firmware" button. You click that, it compiles the firmware for you. When it's done, it turns into a download button. Don't improvise. Follow the wizard. There are step by step instructions on that page

@miklschmidt hmm... sorry, maybe I missed something. Will it make a difference compiling the .bin file in SSH and the interface? Everything in the makeconfig is set correctly.

Yes it will.

Okay. Will give it a try tomorrow then. @miklschmidt flashing using USB isn't an option with this board is it?

yes it is, once you've done the initial flashing

BTT says it should be possible, setting the boot0 jumper. But I couldn't make it work, and the wizard didn't seem to make it possible either...

You can do that too, but i haven't made the instructions for DFU flashing on the 446 yet. So don't try to do that. Just follow the steps in the configurator, it's easy.
